Our Programs
What if Church were a literacy program?

We Think It Should Be
We believe that church is a place where people of different backgrounds and languages can find their common language in the love of Jesus Christ.  First United Methodist Church is a place where we teach ESL to Spanish speakers and Spanish to English speakers.  The mission of the church is to make disciples for Jesus and this ministry furthers that mission.  We don’t believe that language should be a barrier for any child of God.  Here’s how you can participate:
· Join a class and learn another language
· Help teach ESL
· Assist in babysitting for those taking classes
For more information about how you can help call Brother Jim at 479-699-4683
